Voting in 2021 Town Elections

In March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Legislature passed and the Governor signed into law an act allowing towns to delay their 2020 local elections and expanding access to voting by mail.

Voting by mail protects personal and public health during the coronavirus crisis while preserving our democracy and promoting engagement in local elections.

To vote by mail in 2020 town elections, voters need to download and print the 2020 municipal election early vote-by-mail application form, complete it in pen, and timely submit it to the town clerk. The clerk will send mail-in ballots to voters. Completed ballots need to be received by election day in order to be counted.
